There’s an older brooks brother??

daisyabramss:

Not at all actually! I didn’t even know you existed.

They’re hugely entertaining actually. You’re lucky.

Hugely entertaining. Right. I guess you could call it that.

Really though, they’re pretty cool.

So, tell me more about you?

Take Me Home // Xavzel

hazel—gold:

Hazel looked at the papers in her hand in disbelief. In her hands was her ticket out of here. Looking back up at the doctor, she smiled. “Wait, I can really go home?” she asked, as she looked back down at the release papers in her hand. As soon as the doctor nodded, Hazel dropped the papers and grabbed her phone and dialed Xavier’s number. Usually people would call their family or something but the first person that popped into Hazel’s mind was Xavier.

“Seeya so-.” she said with a smile as she was interrupted with the sound of a beep. He’d hung up on her. Usually she’d be mad, but she knew he did it for a good reason. Smiling to herself, the girl set her phone down and tried to sit up. Finally, after what felt like forever, the girl was finally going to be able to sleep in her own bed, eat her own food, and she wouldn’t have a bed time or visiting hours anymore. The only downside, Hazel lived alone. Which meant she’d have to cook her own food, bathe herself and go to the bathroom on her own again. Sure it’d be a struggle, but it was better than having a stranger do it for her. Giggling at the thought, she quickly stopped once the nurse had come back in her room with a wheel chair, followed by two male doctors to lift her up and set her in the wheel chair. Wrapping her arms around each of their necks, she held on tight as they lifted her and set her down in the wheelchair.

“Do you have someone coming to get you, Ms.Gold?”
“Yes, he’s on his way now.”

Hazel smiled at the thought of Xavier coming to pick her up. Every part of her wanted to flail her arms and jump around from excitement but considering it was physically impossible, she sat in her chair and patiently waited for her knight in shining armor to come pick her up.

Xavier rattled into the phone and then hung up, running to his room. He threw on a zip hoodie over his bare torso, zipping it up, and sliding on a pair of flip flops. He paused for just a moment to look at himself in the mirror and laugh. “Sweatpants, a hoodie, and flip flops” He thought to himself “I’ve reached a new low.” He locked the door and took the stairs two at a time all the way down to the lot. When he finally reached his car, he was panting. He smiled at himself and got in, closing the door. He started the car, backed out of the spot, and sped off towards the hospital.

Xavier pulled into the pick-up area and parked the car by the door, getting out, he glanced at his heart ring, which was warm and giving off a newly familiar soft silver light. He smiled as he thought about Hazel. He entered through the automatic double doors and went straight to the elevator, pushing the button for the second floor. He followed the signs to room 216, and lightly knocked on the door, then pushed it open.

Hazel was sitting in her wheelchair, and Xavier couldn’t keep himself from smiling. The Hazel he knew, bubbly, energetic, Hazel, sitting in a wheelchair was certainly a sight to see. He approached her quickly and planted a kiss on her lips. “I missed you.” he breathed, even though it had been mere hours since the nurse had woken him up and made him leave Hazel’s room in the wee hours of the morning, while Hazel was still asleep. “How does it feel to be free?” he asked eagerly, squatting beside her and grasping her hand.

For Eloise.

brooks-brother-nick:

Did you give her flowers and drive her home?

The complete opposite, in fact. It was perfect.

Well not yet.. But I’m workin’ on it!

Oh really?? Well that’s great to hear. You turned it into a double date right? With this Eloise that’s captured your heart for the moment?

daisyabramss:

Daisy. Pleasure’s all mine. I’ve met your brothers, they’re great.

Oh, Lord, I hope they didn’t talk about me TOO much.

Yeah, they’re not bad, sometimes they can be a handful since there’s two of them, but they definitely make things interesting..

brooks-brother-nick:

Your point? Some of us have class, jeez Xav. Damn right!

I really don’t know.. I just had an impulse.

I slept in a chair next to a hospital bed last night, don’t tell me I don’t have class!

So how was Ice Cream? As excruciatingly awkward as expected?

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Graduated, obviously, maybe with a family (if I’m lucky) and settled down or perhaps in grad school. I’m not sure.

Favorite color(s)?

Green. (see previous anon)

Five random facts about yourself?

I used to play the piano, but I quit years ago.

My favorite snack is Goldfish with cream cheese.

My favorite color is green.

I still listen to old vinyl records.

Sometimes I watch infomercials on late night tv because I never sleep.

I think that’s about as random as it gets

Do you ever envy or get jealous of your brothers?

Sometimes? They have it kinda easy and fun. I’ve got more baggage. But I don’t wish it any other way.
